The Porsche 997 turbo is sleek, sexy and incredibly fast! The Porsche is packed with power and when you sit in the drivers seat and take control of this German sportscar you realise just how powerful it really is!
The Porsche 997 Turbo packs an impressive 472bhp under the bonnet giving you the abilities to take this supercar to a massive 200 km/h plus, with 0 to 100 possible in measely 3.7 seconds! An impressive sports car i think you will agree!
- Your instructor takes you for 3 laps in a Mazda 3 MPS
- You drive a Porsche Cayman for 4 laps
- Take the wheel for 4 laps in a Porsche 997 Turbo
The Porsche 997 Turbo Experience at Thruxton lets you drive the Porsche 997 along with a Mazda 3 MPS and a Porsche Cayman. The experience lasts 2.5 hours and takes you on 11 laps of the famous Thruxton track where you can hone your racing skills!
The experience starts off with some initial instruction and information from your experience race guide and instructor. They will tell you about the course, the cars and what you can and cant do!
Once the lessons are out of the way its time to hit the track. Your instructor will firstly take you out for 3 laps in a Mazda 3 MPS. Dont think this is a tame ride around the track though, these guys will take a car like the Mazda 3 to limits you never knew it had! Hold tight and concentrate though as your instructor will be showing you how the course drives and giving you expert guidance before its your turn to take the wheel!
After your 3 laps with the instructor its time for you to take control! You will be able to drive 4 laps in a Porsche Cayman on your own around the circuit! This is where all the instruction comes into play, so make sure you remember where to brake and accelerate to get the best out of your 4 laps!
Hopefully you will have mastered the Porsche Cayman and experienced 4 exhilerating and quick laps of the Thruxton circuit; well now its time for the main event - you will drive 4 laps of the Thruxton race circuit in the frighteningly quick Porsche 997 Turbo!
If you found the Cayman quick and the instructor laps in the Mazda quick, put your toe down in the Porsche 997 and experience real speed! You will take complete control of the Porsche 997 Turbo and take it for four thrilling laps of the Thruxton Race Circuit. All you training and practice laps will now come into their own, how well can you drive the Porsche 997 and can you clock up a course record?
